The Center for Psychology and Education is an organization committed to the practice and integration of psychology and education, and their intersection with related specialties.
Since we established our clinic in 2004, our main mission has been to enhance the psychological, educational, and occupational adjustment of the children, adolescents, families, and adults with whom we work. The clinicians at CPE draw on a variety of sub-disciplines in working with their clients. The most influential of these include: clinical psychology, developmental psychology, developmental neuropsychology, educational psychology, psychiatry, and special education. Evaluation and assessment services are emphasized strongly at CPE as we believe that an accurate understanding of a client's cognitive, academic, emotional, social, and behavioral functioning is needed in order to intervene effectively and efficiently. Interventions may take many forms including prevention, enhancement, and problem-focused activities, all with an eye towards maximizing collaboration between involved parties.
